it’s not just the blog that has to be fed. I’ve been doing the bulk of all the cooking lately. I like to experiment but only with easy things. Coming home at 6 and having to have supper on the table by 7 (with 0 planning cuz that’s not how we roll in this family usually) means I cheat. Today for example. Stuffed peppers. Easy Peasy Jinxsa Style. Left over rice, grated carrot, finely chopped mushroom and some cooked meat, I usually use ground chicken or pork. Mix with tomato sauce. Remind me come winter to share my slow cooker spagetti sauce, it freezes great.

Take 2 peppers and cut in half top to bottom. De-seed and trim. Stuff. Set in casserole dish with water cook on 350 for 40 mins. Top with grated cheese. You look impressive and it’s yummy. Also my oven automatically goes to 350 so 90% of my cooking is done on that temp ! I can’t be the only one.

Once I asked my parents to buy a few peppers because the plan was to make this for supper. They spent 15 mins choosing peppers based on there ability to stand upright. One lady was staring at them and my dad said it’s how you knew they were fresh. So she sat there balancing peppers with them. I remember being in trouble when I sliced them in half.

I love Jane Autsen. I was looking for Pride & Prejudice but couldn’t find it decided to read the original work in the mean time and am hooked. I’ve read 8-9 times. As matter of fact every time aI read a few chapters in PPZ iI end up remembering how much I like just PP. I’ve also read Emma and started Mansfeild Park. This is usually called people’s least fave book.It’s kinda painful. But I’m in a Read/Knit Along on Rav and they are doing Emma again. So bac to that. Picked up 2 more for the collection Friday.
The Kal is on Rav. Am torn between Luna Moth Shawl which is pretty and …well…a shawl. Or the Wisp Wrap which is great because it’s so basic I can knit and read. Tell you what I’ll let you decide and toss a poll out there. Oh for those of you intesersted Jane Austen Book Club posted the rest of the calender for the year.

Spent most of the day online. I have much heart for the internets. Signed up for twitter, cruised some blogs, having issues with Ravelry but hopefully that will be over. Making shepard’s pie for supper and found a carrot salad idea at www.crazyauntpurl.com and am going to try that. In general making merry. Got my Doctor Who DVD, Torchwood dvd and picked up another Creepy Cute Crochet book as I am pretty sure that I gave my copy away. Yeay for Amazon!
